Stay organized: With campaign naming conventions, you can keep all your campaigns in order like a boss.

Campaign naming conventions are like the secret sauce of campaign tracking. They're a standardized way of naming your campaigns to keep things organized and easy to track. Think of them as your campaign's "superhero name" - unique, consistent, and memorable!

Why Campaign Naming Conventions are Super Cool

Stay organized: With campaign naming conventions, you can keep all your campaigns in order like a boss. No more messy, confusing campaign names that leave you scratching your head.

Gain insights: Consistent naming conventions allow you to filter and compare campaigns easily, unlocking valuable insights for optimization. It's like having X-ray vision into your campaign data, giving you the power to make data-driven decisions and boost your results.

Collaborate like a superhero team: Campaign naming conventions streamline teamwork, ensuring everyone is on the same page. No more wasted time deciphering campaign names or misunderstandings. Just smooth collaboration and faster results.

How to Create Your Own Campaign Naming Conventions with CampaignTracker

Creating your own campaign naming conventions with CampaignTracker is a breeze. Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Login into your CampaignTracker account. Once you are in the dashboard, head over to the left menu and click on “Campaigns”. Then click on “Manage Naming Conventions”.

Step 2: Decide on the information (called segments) that you want to include in your campaign names. Common segment examples include the product, location, and date. For example, you could use "{{Product}}_{{Location}}_{{Date}}". Using underscores between segments and hyphens within values is recommended. Remember that each segment can serve as a list of the values or a formatted date string.

Step 3: Create the segments. Click on the “Create Segment” button. This will allow you to create either a Select List or a Date segment. In our example, because the products we are selling are ties, we created a select list with the names of our ties. If you are creating a Date segment, just click on Type “Date” and you will be able to adjust the Date Format to your preference.

Step 4: Append your segment to the campaign naming conventions. Once you're back on the Naming Convention page, you click on the Append to Pattern to insert the segment into the Pattern field. Be sure to add underscores between segments and hyphens within values. Once you click save, you’re done!

Step 5: Start using the naming conventions with your links. The naming convention will become available for the campaign creation process giving you an easy way to replace segments with respective available values. You will be able to quickly see what product, location, or audience the campaign is for, where it's targeting, and when it's running, just by looking at the name.

And there you have it! Campaign naming conventions are a powerful tool that can help you level up your campaign tracking and optimization game. With CampaignTracker, it's easy to create and implement your own naming conventions, so you can keep your campaigns organized, gain valuable insights, and collaborate like a superhero team.
